Jul_18 "Found objects" . . . feathers!

When I’m out and about I’m always looking around me for hidden gems, like rusty lids, ropes, feathers or colourful paper.

This entry will highlight my work with feathers. I was part way through a painting when my husband appeared from a walk with a beautiful blue jay feather. It was just what I needed to complete the painting I was working on. It’s called Feather in My Cap.

I went on to use feathers on other paintings and I now keep a collection of them for when it feels right. Here are some of my ‘feathered’ paintings: Power of Prayer, Soaring and Revealed.
